Hidden Greens Golf Course

I've been playing this course for nearly 20 years now. I go back because of how nice it is and how well it is managed and well taken care of. It's also one of the best deals you can get for the rates. Brad, one of the great guys that manage this place, is always looking to make things better. I love the drone video clips and pictures online. When my formerly Minnesotan, now Arizonan, relatives visit, we always book a golf outing at Hidden Greens. It's just a course you would want to find in MN to experience a round worth wanting to come back over and over again. This place is a MN gem. I'll be back every year as much as I can and will gladly patronize your golf course, beverages, food, golf supplies, and friendly staff. Thank you for being one of my top 5 MN courses of the hundreds I've played. Your course rules that you have in place are excellent and retain the integrity of the people that are playing the game and keep it enjoyable for the very vast majority of those that get to play your amazing course. Course is beautifully set in mature Oak trees some of which provide visual intimidation on approach shots into the greens. Par 4’s are challenging doglegs that require accurate tee shots on correct side of fairway. Par 5’s are tough but fair and the Par 3’s offer great variety. If you happen to hit shots into trees lining the fairways you are able to hit recovery shots as the trees are trimmed of low hanging branches which affords you the option of creative shot making. Greens are in great shape. Firm but receptive to approach shots. Putts rolled true on your intended start line. Scorecard provides hole by hole detailed and helpful information. Course management is crucial but there are plenty of holes with good risk/reward opportunities. The course is an excellent course to walk as it is on the shorter side and distances between tees and greens are minimal. If you are a lover of Fall golf then this course is a must play.

The course is in very good shape. This isn't a course for someone who sprays their tee shots due to the number of trees that line the fairways. Also, landing a shot in the fairway doesn't guarantee you a clear approach to the green. Some of the par 4 doglegged holes require you to leave your driver in the bag. I like that I have to think my way around the course. This was my first time here and I intend to be back soon to see if I can put to use what I learned today in the way of local knowledge.

Hidden Greens is an absolute gem! Course always in good condition, tucked into the country (relaxing!), some scenic holes, staff is incredibly accommodating and provide excellent customer service EVERY SINGLE TIME! You will walk away feeling like you got incredible value out of your round. I have a membership that allows me to play courses all over MN/western WI so I play a lot all over the place, Hidden Greens tops the list out of all the courses I’ve played! They run raffles, give free balls at the end of the year at the turn. Do yourself a favor and book a round and see for yourself!

Bellwood is way better. Also, taller young male employee at Hidden Greens has zero social awareness. Stereotypical owners kid who is entitled and thinks he’s cool cause he wears a white hat and joggers. Quit being a bro, grow up and learn how to talk to people, especially paying customers. Be more like the shorter young male employee.

The first two holes are unimpressive, but 3 through 18 are solid. Some parts of the course are unfair, in that if you aren't dead center in the fairway with your drive, you may encounter tree trouble, thanks to the many overhanging boughs, even though you managed to stay on the (mostly narrow) fairways with your drive. Very pretty setting though, in what I guess is a remnant of SE Minnesota's original oak savanna. Also, always nice people who run the place, and an easy-going family atmosphere. Very walkable too, for those who choose to play the game as intended. Greens are above average for an affordable course. Definitely rate it as better than nearby Bellwood, even though Bellwood plays more to my game.
